I’ve seriously lapsed in my writing as of late. I do apologize for that. Yep, the sequels to two previous stories I’ve written are done, in the ‘rough draft’ versions and are slowly, and I do mean, at a snail pace, being edited a little at a time… oh, and there’s been a death in the family so all work was suspended until I felt able to clack the keys again.
It’s never easy losing a loved one. It’s made more difficult seeing them suffer and not able to do anything about it. And watching a loved one die in real life leaves one to come face to face with their own morality and the fact that death is inevitable.
I suppose during the last few weeks I had another story idea knocking around in my head after my close relative passed away recently. I have an idea for the plot of the story, and how I want the cover design to look like, but not much else.
Before everything went from serious to dire this month I did manage to find and correct a few grammar errors and a few paragraph return annoyances in my other two stories Velvet Blue and Abide with Me. I haven’t checked out my other stories yet and run them through a fine tooth comb on my kindle, but I will.
Right now, everything this month has been difficult. Picking up the pieces of life and carrying on is easier said than done. I also had determination to plant a garden this year (and I hope it’s a big one) so I will be able to can my own dill pickles, hot salsa dips, green beans, pickled okra, etc. so I can get myself through the summer and next winter combined. A lot of back breaking work, but its an investment that will be well worth it.
In the meantime, I will be editing my sequels and as soon as I feel they are readable without extra annoying “”” qoutation marks and the occasional grammar errors (hey, all writer’s run into that), then I will upload them to Smashwords and KDP and tweet ‘em out.
And special thanks to those that sent/ are still sending their condolences, thoughts and prayers during my family's difficult time. We sincerely appreciate it.
