Running on very short sleep I tried to upload another short story and figured Bump in the Night Creepy Mini-Stories wouldn't cause me too much trouble. Writing out the collection of mini-stories wasn't a problem. What remains a mystery to me is constantly having to re-upload new covers when I formatted them to the correct pixel requirements and double-checked that there were no corrupt images getting in the way. Why did I put this collection of mini-stories under "adult" content and why not let the younger kids read them? I feel that death, evil and paranormal stuff isn't meant for a child to get their hands on and read. Might seem laughable by today's standards as to why I moderate my short stories and books like I do considering there's way more inappropriate stuff kids are exposed to everywhere nowadays. If I were a parent (which I'm not), would I want my teen or younger kid reading my stuff? Nope because I'd never hear the end of a parent's screaming tantrum at me in all caps; "YOU GAVE MY LITTLE LOU-ANNE and BUBBA-BOB NIGHTMARES!"
I don't write children's books. Horror seems to be my main theme, however, I will have another story up for self-publishing soon that is completely opposite than what I normally write. I love to write fast, proof-read, spell check and upload. I also designed some of my very own book covers (pictured). This helps me a lot because I have created something unique, original and intriguing, at least in my eyes. Bump in the Night Creepy Mini-Stories is available on Smashwords and Kindle Direct Publishing as well.
